Emilia-Romagna, that has always been known for its exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, well-groomed beaches and precious artworks, has recently become an acclaimed golf destination. It boasts challenging golf courses, elegant settings that extend a short distance from the region’s most important art cities, enchanting naturalistic oases, sweet hills dominated by imposing fortresses and castles, famous spa resorts and compelling beaches of fine sand.

Emilia-Romagna gathers 27 golf courses (11 of which featuring 18 holes, 9 featuring 9 holes and 6 featuring 4/6-holes) and Cervia’s Adriatic Golf Club, that is the only 27-hole course in the whole region. It extends over a total surface area of 100 hectares and is totally flanked by the city’s ancient pinewood forest. The 9 holes of the red path, that distribute across the city’s pinewood forest, were inaugurated in 1968. The blue path was completed in 1987, and the course was turned into a 18-hole one.

This transformation turned it into a very pleasant place, since all holes are surrounded by lovely lakes that resemble the American ones. The yellow path (further 9 holes) was created in 2004, and its innovative design drew inspiration from the Scottish links. This is how the golf course was turned into a 27-hole one.
